PANCHKULA, Dec 2: Four persons accused of theft in the house of a Sector 21 resident Tribhuvan Nath and beating up family members, have been remanded to police custody till December 8.

The accused, Sanjeev alias Langra, Raj Kumar, Vinod Kumar and Ramesh, had earlier been apprehended by the Chandigarh Police. The fifth gang member, identified as Munna, is still absconding. The police have sent a party to Moradabad, where Munna is believed to be residing.

Police say that out of the ornaments which the gang had stolen, a pair of gold earrings and two watches, in addition to some household items, have been recovered from them.

A few days prior to the said incident, the same gang had struck a Sector 4 house, from where it had stolen the household items. The remaining ornaments and items had been sold off at Moradabad.
