The Securities and Exchange Board ofIndia on Monday questioned former Tata Finance Ltd MD Dilip Pendse on alleged insider trading in the finance company’s scrip. Senior officials probed Pendse for more than two hours in the afternoon, Sebi sources said and declined to dwell on the current probe.

The market regulator is already conducting investigations into charges of insider trading involving another TFL director JE Talaulicar. The report, however, has not seen the light of the day despite more than a year since the trading took place. Last week, following reference to circular trading in A F Ferguson’s report on TFL, the Sebi launched a fresh probe in the books of the beleaguered company. “We are still investigating the issue and have not arrived at any conclusions,” they said.
