SD-32, DS-45 are champions

CHANDIGARH, Aug 30: SD Public School, Sector 32 and Dev Samaj College, Sector 45, claimed titles in the boys and girls section, respectively, in the third Chandigarh State ball badminton tournament which concluded today. SD-23 beat Sri Guru Gobind Senior Secondary School-35, 29-12, 29-22 while Dev Samaj-45 got the better of GCG Club, 29-22, 29-9, to win the girls trophy.

In a play off match Shivalik Public School-41 defeated GMSS-33, 29-14, 29-19, to win third place in the boys group.

IS Dev Samaj, School, Sector 21 got the third position in the girls section by defeating GMSSS-21, 29-13, 27-29,29-17.

During the meet ten players including five in the girls section were spotted for their excellent performance. Arun, Mukesh, Rajbir, Gurinder and Sonu were outstanding in the boys section. Sonika, Anisha, Monika, Kanchan and Jagdeep were among the best five in the girls group.
