Breaking his silence after the Supreme Court called his endorsement of Central rule in Bihar “unconstitutional,” President A P J Abdul Kalam today called it a “learning experience.”

Asked by The Indian Express at the India Empowered conclave whether the President needed to be “empowered,” given the court’s strictures, he said: “As long as you are in a democratic nation, there will be hundreds of decisions. When you are taking a decision, many possibilities are there. I believe every decision and the reaction definitely becomes an experience. We have to learn continuously otherwise you can’t decide.”
