SC notice over Bihar unpaid

The Supreme Court today issued a notice to the Centre after the Bihar government said the Government should be held responsible for all starvation deaths in the country.

A bench comprising Chief Justice V.N. Khare, Justice S.B. Sinha and Justice A.R. Lakshmanan issued a notice to the Centre after counsel for Bihar Shanti Bhushan said the state had no liability towards payment of salaries to the employees of state government undertaking companies.
