An India-Pakistan war, if any, this time would be decisive, J-K Governor Girish Chander Saxena said today. The repeated skirmishes at the borders killing innocents and destroying their properties can’t be tolerated any longer, he said.

Saxena was speaking at a border migrants’ camp in Samba. Every time the Army moves to the borders, the residents have to shift to the hinterland. ‘‘It is better to solve the problem for good so people don’t have to suffer any longer.’’

CM Farooq Abdullah echoed similar sentiments when he said war with Pakistan was the last option to wipe out terrorism. Ab aar paar ki baat karo, hum roz roz marna nahin chahtey (Let’s get to the end of this, we don’t want to die in terrorist attacks daily),’’ he said.

Farooq was talking to migrants at Mahreen Higher Secondary School, Hiranagar. ‘‘When all options are exhausted, then war would be the final reality.”
