Sanjay shines in Fighter XI victory

CHANDIGARH, Sept 6: Sanjay Mishra’s fine all round performance boosted Fighter XI to a 14 run win over Ace XI in a league match of the Shine Star Cricket Cup today.

Sanjay hit three successive sixes in Fighter XI’s last over as the team recovered from a bad start to tally 138 for in 20 overs. Kapil too flashed his willow towards the end to remain unbeaten with 20. Vikrant Gupta (28), Manoj Rajan (23) and Pritam (20) were the other scorers. Ace XI rocketed to 60 for 1 in only six overs as balls kept disappearing out of the ground, courtesy Inder Pal’s bat. However, once he was out the Fighter bowlers knocked the other batsmen out. Sanjay Mishra and Vikrant Gupta took three wickets each as Ace XI lost by 14 runs.
