MUMBAI, March 3: "As a kid, I always dreamt of wearing the India cap. I am happy that I realised that childhood dream and have no regrets having called it a day," said former India Test batsman Sanjay Manjrekar.
Manjrekar was presiding over the prize distribution function of the Inter-school Harris and Giles Shield cricket tournaments, conducted by the Mumbai School Sports Association, at the IES Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya Hall today.
Manjrekar, who retired from first class cricket after participating in Mumbai’s 10-wicket win over Australia last week, urged the young gathering to stay dedicated to the sport and to always aim high.

Rocket fire to win
Skipper Maneesh Prabhakar and Ashish Gadkari added 165 for the sixth wicket to help Rocket CC to 268 in 41 overs against BRDCC in the Gordhandas KGS cricket tournament today.
Rocket were 37 for five at one stage before Prabhakar (87) and Gadkari (64) took them to safety.
Sandesh Shah (4-28) then dismissed BRDCC for 147 in 30.1 overs to propel his team to a 121-run victory.

HDFC, ITC in final
HDFC will face ITC in the final of the Champions Cup category of the Mahindra Realty sevens cricket tournament. HDFC, in its maiden appearance, defeated Citibank (GCB) in the semifinal played at the Western Railway Stadium, Mahalaxmi today.
In the other semifinal, defending champions ITC beat Citibank (GF).
