CHENNAI, SEPT 7: Reigning champion Sanjay Kumar of Lucknow carded five under par 65 to emerge as the sole leader at the end of the first round in the Rs 7.5 lakh Color Plus Open golf championship which began at the par 70-6667 yard Madras Gymkhana Club course today.
Chandigarh8217;s Amritinder Singh, Harmeet Kahlon and G S Sethi of Delhi were joint second with a score of three-under par 67, while Hindu Open winner Vijay Kumar of Lucknow, Feroz Ali Calcutta and veteran Rohtas Singh of Delhi were joint third with two under-68.
