Salman Khan must thank his fan club at Bhadrak. And one Gobardhan Nayak in particular. After the cola war between Pepsi and Coca Cola turned sour, here is a twist.

The Subdivisional Judicial Magistrate, Bhadrak, has directed Pepsi Foods Ltd to stop displaying its advertisement in which bird droppings land in a soft drink held by a Salman lookalike.

The direction came following a petition filed by Nayak, a fan of the film star, that the commercial demeans the personality of Khan.

The court, in its order, ruled that the commercial is demeaning the image and personality of Khan and Sushmita Sen, who feature in the original Thums Up advertisement. The court has directed Pepsi Foods Limited representatives to appear before it on August 7.
