Sale of last tranche of Games’ tickets on Friday

The last tranche of the Beijing Olympic tickets will go on sale from Friday, organisers said.

With the Beijing Olympics inching towards its opening ceremony on August 8, the last tranche of the Beijing Olympic tickets will go on sale from Friday, organisers said.

Nearly 820,000 tickets that would be up for grabs include 250,000 for the sports events in Beijing and the rest for football competitions in Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenyang and Qinghuangdao.

“In almost every of the 28 sports, there are tickets available for sale,” Beijing ticketing Director Zhu Yan was quoted as saying by Xinhua news agency.

Each person can buy a maximum of two tickets for one session.

A total of 6.8 million tickets for the Beijing Games were available for sale, 75 per cent of them reserved for domestic public.
