Meanwhile, the NCB has said that Kirit Shah, the owner of Sakha Organics, had entered this trade after Feng had persuaded him into it, saying that he would earn much more than what he was making through the organic chemicals plant.A senior NCB officer said that during a raid at Shah’s house in Vadodara, they came across several documents that showed that Shah was running into losses until Jeng came into the picture and persuaded him to take up a project of manufacturing meth in his Savli-based plant. “Shah was clearly persuaded in this by Richard and some others in Mumbai,” said Sanjay Patel, an NCB officer. NCB sources, however, said: “The identity of the Mumbai link cannot be disclosed at the moment, but it seems that these people knew Shah's financial status and took advantage of his greed to make profits.” Patel further said: “We have found many documents from his house. However, we are unable to trace Shah and his associate, Sunil Vaidya, as he is still absconding.”It was on November 21 that NCB sleuths, led by Ahmedabad Zonal Director Ayush Mani Tiwari, had arrested Jeng and two Malaysians of Indian origin from a hotel in Vadodara. They had later found a clandestine meth laboratory housed in a Sakha Organics plant.
