Sajjan Kumar claims gold

Dafedar Sajjan Kumar hogged the limelight on the concluding day of the 2002 Delhi Horse Show at the floodlit Army Equestrian ground here today.

Astride Faryad, the President’s Body Guard rider pushed the rest of the field to claim gold in a tought field that comprised national winners Major Sandeep Dewan and Major Ajay Duggal, with an excellent showing. He was followed in the second place by S Poonia who was astride Suinflower while the bronze went to PBG rider Harsimranjeet Singh on Frahan.

In the team tent pegging event, Haryana Police won the gold with Army Supply Corps and ITBP followed them.
