BANGALORE, Aug. 4: A seminar on the poet Kerala Varma organised by the Sahitya Academy, here, was inauguarted today. While addressing the seminar, theacademy president Prof U R Ananthamurthy said the word 'renaissance' had to be replaced by 'modernism' to suit the Indian trends and said out that Europe need not necessarily be the only inspiration for Indian writers.
