NEW DELHI, April 4: Sachs India, part of the German automotive component major Mannesmann Sachs has geared up to manufacture shock absorbers of international standard at its plant in Parwanoo (Himachal Pradesh).

The plant was recently inaugurated by the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dieckmann.

The German company has acquired 51 per cent equity stake in the Parwanoo-based company Sirmour Sudburg Auto Limited, under the Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction rehabilitation scheme.

The company’s focus will remain in establishing the business in two wheelers vehicle applications.

The company is planning to introduce motorcycle shock absorbers. It has been awarded orders for Volvo and is developing products for Telco and the Railways.
