Brazil’s training session on Tuesday gave no hint on whether coach Carlos Alberto Parreira will change his line-up for the team’s last group match against Japan.Brazilian players underwent a light practice session at their camp in Bergisch Gladbach, outside Cologne, and Parreira gave no indications on the team for Thursday. Parreira had said earlier in the week he was considering fielding reserve players for the match at Dortmund to give some of the starters rest ahead of the next round. Parreira — who is scheduled to talk to the media on Wednesday — said he would only make a decision on the starting line-up after talking to “the medical staff” and to the “physical department,” adding he wanted to see how the players were recuperating from the first two matches.Brazil’s starters didn’t seem to like the idea of giving up their spots. “I want to keep playing,” midfielder Kaka said Tuesday. “I don’t want to lose any rhythm.”Adriano, who was substituted by Fred late in the match against Australia, also said he would rather keep his spot. “I want to play,” he said.Parreira said Ronaldo will likely start against Japan so he can continue to gain rhythm. “His case is different from the other players, he needs to be playing,” Perreira said after the Brazil-Australia tie.TALES AZZONI
