Unfazed by the criticism for his role in Jharkhand, it was Union Water Resources Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi’s day out in Lok Sabha on Monday, as he handled 20 supplementaries on river-linking.Dasmunsi took potshots at the NDA for making exaggerated claims when in power. Former PM A.B Vajpayee was ‘‘misled’’ when he had announced on August 15, 2003 that the inter-linking project would begin from 2003-end, he said, as even MoUs between the states were not signed. Dasmunsi added, “I do not want to mislead the House, the nation.’’ He said no date could be given for launching the project as states remained divided. ‘‘Inter-linking is still a concept and only when a MoU is signed can it be termed a project.’’
