NEW DELHI, JULY 27: Five meet records were sent overboard on the second day of the four-day open aquatic meet, organised by the Directorate of Education (Sports) at the Punjabi Club pool here today.

If it was Charu Mishra who set the tone for a number of records on the first day, it was her younger sister Richa who established two meet record today. Richa of DPS (R K Puram) completed girls 2 group 100 metre fresstyle in a record time of 1:06.05. The old record was 1:06.7.

Richa Mishra came first in 100m butterfly stroke with a time of 1:13.71, beating the old mark of 1:15.79.

Mesha Roy of St Thomas School was credited with the other individual meet record today. In girls group 4 50m butterfly event, she clocked 39.24. Rajni Tokas of R K puram sector 6 came second.

Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, R K Puram finished first with a new meet record in boys group 4, 4x50m freestyle relay, clocking 2:46:38. St Columba"s and Bal Bharati (Pitampura) came second and third, respectively. The fifth record of the day was established by DPS (Mathura Road) in 4x100mfreestyle for boys group 2.

Girls 4: 50m butterfly: 1. Meesha Roy (St Thomas), 0.39.24 (NMR), 2. Rajni Tokas (RK Puram, 0.43.25), 3. Parul Chadha (BBPS, Pitampura), 0.46.16. Boys 5: 4 x 50m freestyle relay: 1. Sarvodya Vidyalaya, RK Puram, 2,46.38 (NMR), 2. St Columba’s 2.49.39, 3. BBPS, Pitampura, 3.11.66. Boys 2: 4 x 100m freestyle relay: 1. DPS, Mathura Road, 4.23.10 (NMR); 2. St Columba’s, 4.51.42; 3. Montfort School, 7.38.91.

Men who opened fire outside actor Disha Patani’s home killed in encounter in Ghaziabad

Two men belonging to the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar Gang were killed in an encounter in Ghaziabad, suspected to be involved in the firing outside Disha Patani's residence. The duo, identified as Ravindra and Arun, were wanted in multiple cases and were spotted by the police through CCTV footage. UP CM Yogi Adityanath had directed for a speedy investigation and strict action against the perpetrators.
