Ravi, Shikha bag TT titles

CHANDIGARH, Sept 19: Ravi Chandran of NIS, Patiala and Shikha Ghai of Punjab won the men’s and women’s singles titles in the North Zone table tennis tournament at the Sector 23 Table Tennis Hall here today. Ravi defeated Harish Kumar (Chandigarh) 21-16, 18-21, 21-14, 21-15 while Shikha down by a set fought back strongly to beat Rajni Gupta also of Punjab 19-21, 21-19, 21-15, 21-13, to wear the women’s crown.

The junior boys title went to Anshu Adlakha of Delhi who defeated Neeraj Kumar of Haryana 21-15, 21-6, 15-21, 21-11. Nadia Saini took home the junior girls title by beating Amarpreet Kaur 19-21, 21-15, 17-21, 21-18, 21-10.
