Rana escape: Ex-cop held

Delhi Police today detained a former constable of the Delhi Armed Police 3rd Battalion, who is suspected to have posed as constable Arvind Kumar and helped Sher Singh Rana, prime accused in the Phoolan Devi murder case, escape from Tihar jail on February 17.

He was picked up for questioning this afternoon by a team of the Special Cell that took charge of the investigation today. The suspect was being grilled by officers till late tonight and simultaneous raids were being carried out by police team
