JULY 6: International Master R Bramesh, who missed Grandmaster norm by a whisker at the Andorra chess tournament recently, will seek to make amends by putting up a more consistent performance in the Benasque Open chess tournament which started here late on Wednesday.

Compatriot V Saravanan will also be eager to make up the loss in the Andorra Open, where after gaining sole lead in the fourth round, he lost two consecutive games and failed to finish in the top 10.

The other Indian in fray, Vedant Goswami, will hope to achieve the International Master norm in this tournament after a rather dull show at Andorra.
