MUMBAI, October 13: The post-monsoon thundershowers continued to affect the fortunes of teams in the 12th Sportstar Trophy MCA under-19 selection cricket tournament.With Dattu Phadkar XI having claimed the Trophy, the start of the final league match to decide the No. 2 team in the round-robin league between Vijay Merchant and Khandu Rangnekar XI was delayed by three hours here today.When play did get under way at the Brabourne Stadium, Rangnekar won the toss and put Merchant to bat. Both teams need an outright win to finish second.Brief scores: Merchant XI 117- 5 (Vijay Singh 44 , Rohan Bagade 25, Sameer Bandarkar 2-35) vs Rangnekar XI.
