Several villages in Bihar’s Gopalganj and West Champaran districts have been inundated due to rain and heavy discharge of water in Gandak river from Nepal.

The river overflowed an embankment along a 15 to 20 metres stretch at Pathara in Gopalganj district flooding more than 15 villages.

A number of villages adjacent to the embankment at Bagha in West Champaran were also inundated.
