JAIPUR, Oct 25: Fine spells by spinners Murli Kartik and Kulamani Parida helped Railways to an innings and 44 runs victory against Rajasthan in the Central Zone Ranji Trophy league match at the Mansarovar Cricket Ground today.

Resuming their second innings at the overnight score of 107 for three, needing 168 runs to avoid innings defeat, Rajasthan showed some semblance of a fight with Ashish Kapoor scoring 52 and Vilas Joshi producing a 42-run knock before being all out just before tea for 231.

Rajasthan, who were skittled out for 85 in the first innings, never recovered in the match as Railways scored 360 in their first innings, taking a 275-run lead.

Railways earned eight points from the match while Rajasthan remain without any points.

Yadav, Bundela shine

INDORE: Career-best bowling performances by J P Yadav and Devendra Bundela helped Madhya Pradesh take a 54-runfirst innings lead over Vidarbha and garner five points after the Central Zone match between the two ended in a draw.
