Holders Railways and Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) have been top seeded in the men’s and women’s team sections, respectively in the 64th senior national and inter-state table tennis championship to be held in Pune from January 9 to 15.

Twenty-nine men and 27 women teams will be seen in action in the inter-state competition to be held from January 9 to 11 followed by the open events from January 12 to 15. The open competition which will have five events – men and women singles and doubles and mixed doubles – carries Rs. 3.38 lakhs as prize money. The draws for the open events will be held on January 9.

Men: Group-A: Railway, Goa, Kerala. Group B: Petroleum Sports Promotion Board, Orissa, Chattisgarh. Group C: Bengal, Bihar, Assam. Group D: Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra B, Chandigarh, Himachal. Group E: Maharashtra A, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Manipur. Group F: Delhi, Karnatraka, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana. Group G: Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Pondicherry, Tripura. Group H: Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Jammu and Kashmir.

Women: group A: PSPB, Karnataka, Chattisgarh. Group B: Railways, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh. Group C: Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa. Group D: Maharashtra A, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh. Group E: Assam, Gujarat, Pondicherry. Group F: Maharashtra B, Uttaranchal, Bihar, Tripura. Group G: Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand. Group H: Delhi, Punjab, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir.
