Defending champions Indian Railways will lock horns with Jharkhand eves in the final of 55th Senior Women National Hockey championship at the Surjit Stadium.

In the semi-finals, 22-time champions Railways drubbed Bombay 5-0 while Jharkhand outplayed Haryana 3-1 to enter the title round.

The holders maintained their dominance over Bombay from the start and, after wasting a penalty stroke and two penalty corners, took the lead in the 22nd minute when skipper Surinder Kaur converted a short corner.

Railway eves ran riot in the second half and doubled the lead in the 37th minute when Jyoti converted a penalty corner.

Bombay, meanwhile, failed to convert a penalty stroke and get back into the match.

In the 42nd minute, Jasjeet Kaur scored an excellent field goal and 10 minutes later, Simmerjit made it 4-0. Captain Surinder Kaur completed the scoring in the 52nd minute.
