BHUBANESWAR: The Orissa Tourism Development Corporation has suspended seven employees of the Pantha Nivas here in connection with the attack on the Mumbai-based actress, Archana Joglekar, in the hotel on Sunday night. As per an FIR lodged by the actress, Bhuban Panda, an anti-social, molested and assaulted her resulting before she fought him back. Though the employees too filed an FIR against alleging that Panda assaulted them when they rushed to save the actress.

IMPHAL: The Manipur Assembly Speaker, W Nipamacha Singh, who had challenged the leadership of the Chief Minister, Rishang Keishing, was today suspended from the primary membership of the Congress, party sources said. The sources said that the State party unit president, Phungzathang Tonsing, suspended Singh for “anti-party” activities.
Coimbatore blast
COIMBATORE: Three women were killed and four others injured in a powerful bomb explosion tonight at a lodging complex at Udumalpet, about 50 kms from here, taking the death toll to 23. While a 50-year old woman died on the spot, the 2 others died in a hospital. Earlier, rumours about death of a DMK MLA escalated the tension in the city, but the situation eased off later.
