NEW DELHI, MARCH 5: China’s Qin Yang ambled into the semi-final of the $ 10,000 Central Bank ITF Women’s Circuit at the Delhi Tennis Association courts here on Thursday. In what will be a rematch of the Bombay leg final, she takes on Austrian Julia Adlbrecht in the semis.

After stunning top-seeded Thai Benjamas Sangaram in straight sets in the pre-quarters, the elegant Chinese girl came back in the late afternoon for an all Chinese clash against Ting Li who ended Uzma Khan’s winning streak in the morning.

Meanwhile, Japan’s Nami Urabe flashed her toothy grin all through her convincing 6-3, 6-0 win against Austrain Nicole Melch who put out India’s Archana Venkatraman in the pre-quartes. Nami plays China’s Ding Ding, who defeated a tired Orawan Wongkamalasai, in the semis.
