CHANDIGARH, Feb 10: A dharna was held today by the non-teaching staff of the Punjab University in front of the Registrar’s office against indifferent attitude of the university towards their long standing demands. The employees said some of their demands, which have been accepted by the management, have not been implemented so far.

They include implementation of fixed medical allowance, pension scheme, promotion policy, headship-by-rotation in the PU Health centre and regular employment of the chief security officer among others. General secretary and president of the association, Jasbir Singh and Dharam Pal Sharma criticised the working of the chief security officer, controller of examination and the Panjab University Health Centre.
