S.A.S. NAGAR, Aug 22: For the first time since the Punjab Housing Corporation merged with the Punjab Housing Board, 14 junior engineers working in three different cadres such as civil, electrical and public health wings of the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority PUDA after completing 22 years service have been promoted to sub-divisional-engineers SDEs. The order of promotion will be made effective from August 19 onwards.
A decision to this effect was taken following frequent representations made by the PUDA Diploma Engineers Association over the years.
Issuing the promotion orders, PUDA chief administrator said that with this decision, a long-pending demand of junior engineers was met.
Meanwhile, the state executive of Diploma Engineers Association at its meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Amar Singh Randhawa, president of the association, hailed PUDA Chief Administrator S C Aggarwal for the promotion of 14 JEs which has been hanging fire since long. By giving promotion, the Administrator has done an excellent job in removing stagnation prevailing among JEs, he said.
