The NCPCR asked the Uttar Pradesh police to explain within 15 days on what basis they claimed that the slain teenaged girl Aarushi had "objectionable" relation with domestic help Hemraj in the Noida twin murder case. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights issued notice to Uttar Pradesh police asking them to explain the "proximity angle" in their investigation of the twin murder that took place in Noida on May 15.The UP police, which is investigating the murder of Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj, had claimed that the girl's father Rajesh Talwar had found the teenager in an "objectionablecondition" with her domestic help.Taking a serious note, the Commission said, "We want to know how the revelations of her proximity with the domestic have helped the case. We also want to know the evidence that corroborate this claim of the police. The police has a time of 15 days from today to reply back to the commission," Sandhya Bajaj, Member NCPCR said. The Commission expressed unhappiness over media giving details about the deceased. "We are of the view that media, specially the electronic media, should try and restrict themselves from flashing details pertaining to the character of Aarushi Talwar. The news is affecting other girls of her age and that is worrisome," NCPCR Chairperson Shanta Sinha said.
