CHANDIGARH, May 25: Bahujan Samaj Party workers in the City today staged a protest march against the arrest of former UP CM Mayawati on May 21 and condemned the functioning of the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh.
The march, led by local BSP president Mata Ram Dhiman, started from the BSP office in Sector 21 and ended in front of the office of the Municipal Corporation. BSP workers raised slogans against the BJP and burnt the effigies of UP CM Kalyan Singh. Addressing the protestors, Dhiman while reviewing the anti-Bahujan policies of the Kalyan government, highlighted that the BJP stopped the functioning of the Atrocities Act, transferred a large number of Bahujun officers and stalled work at the Ambedkar Park.
Various BSP leaders warned the BJP government of stern action in case it did not restrain itself from carrying out its anti-BSP activities.
