LUCKNOW, AUG 16: Uttar Pradesh Government has constituted special investigation teams to probe incident of bomb blast in Sabarmati Express train in Faizabad district and two bomb blasts in Kanpur on the eve of Independence Day.

Giving this information, the principal secretary (home) V K Mittal said that the special teams had already started their investigations. "No breakthrough has been achieved so far but it was considered to be the handiwork of terrorists," he added.

Meanwhile, Intelligence Bureau (IB) team have been sent for surveying the blast sites, he added. A total of nine persons were killed in the Sabarmati Express blast and three police personnel were injured in the Kanpur bomb blasts.

Four victims two each from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, had been identified so far in the Sabarmati Express incident, the Home Secretary said.

A general alert had already been sounded all over the State in view of the blasts and security had been beefed up in all the sensitive places in the State.
