In a flash,Yuvraj Singh won everything back. It is no secret that the India star was hurt at the way he was removed as captain of the Kings XI Punjab side for the third edition of the Indian Premier League and that was reflecting in the team’s performances so far.

But with Yuvraj leading the side to a Super Over win over the Chennai Super Kings in their last match for their first points this season, the result may just be the turning point for the team’s campaign.

Ahead of their clash with the Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday here,Yuvraj’s body language spoke of the confidence that has made Yuvraj one of the most destructive players in the shortest version of the game. Stepping out of his yellow sports car to the glare of shutterbugs,Yuvraj could afford a big smile. “Yes,the team is excited after the Cuttack win,” he told The Indian Express.

Playing an imaginary reverse sweep to imitate the shot off Muttiah Muralitharan that proved to be the winning boundary,Yuvraj explained his shot selection. “After Mahela (Jayawardene) had struck a six on the first ball off Murali,we were placed well. A dot ball next made it tougher and since Murali can be a tricky bowler,I had to go for a four. I just played the reverse-sweep shot instinctively. Hopefully we will carry forward the momentum in the next matches and look at a semi-final spot.”

While Irfan Pathan has looked to be the only other possible match winner for the side, the arrival of Brett Lee and Shaun Marsh could well prove to be the extra push the team needed, though it is still not clear if Lee,coming off injury, will play on Wednesday.
