Young Indian-origin man stabbed to death in UK

A 23-year man of Indian-origin,a son of a taxi driver in the East Midlands,died of a stab wound following which police has charged two persons for murder.

Nitu Babu Das died following a stabbing last week,leaving his friends and family in despair.

Das was taken to a walk-in treatment centre in Loughborough at around 2.45 am on July 26,but he cound not be saved.

Andrew Smith,38,and Elaine Pendery,45,appeared in the town’s magistrates court yesterday jointly charged with murder.

They were remanded in custody,and are due to appear at the Leicester Crown Court.

Tributes have poured in following the killing in the East Midlands.

Das’ parents,Jantu and Rina,said: “Nitu was a dearly loved son who will be deeply missed. This is a very hard time for my family and I would like to thank all of those who have and are continuing to support us”.
