Lifters skip meet fearing tests Seventy lifters skipped the senior national championships in Udaipur fearing they might fail dope tests there,the Indian Weightlifting Federation said. IWF secretary Sahdev Yadav said that a committee will be constituted to investigate the matter. We conducted large-scale dope testing this time as we are trying to clean up the sport from dope menace. Some 290 lifters reported to take part in the championships but after hearing that there would be extensive dope testing,only 220 actually took part in the competition, Yadav said.
