Mumbai Cricket Association president Vilasrao Deshmukh today demanded an apology from Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar for making unjustifiable claims against senior Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar. "His (Akhtar's) remarks should be condemned. Sachin is a world class player and has several records to his credit. Perhaps there is a commercial angle to it and Akhtar wants to promote his book," said Deshmukh, also the Union minister for science and technology and earth sciences. "He should apologise to Sachin," he told reporters here. Akhtar,in his book "Controversially Yours",has claimed that Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were not match-winners nor did they know the art of finishing games.
