Pakistani PM favourite with spoof writers

Pak PM Gilani is hot favourite among the spoof writers these days and is keeping them busy in churning out stories.

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is hot favourite among the spoof writers these days and is keeping them busy in churning out stories on his ‘love-hate relationship’ with President Asif Ali Zardari.

In a fictional story on thespoof.com,a website that regularly lampoons political leaders from around the world, reveals,”Bumbling Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani is (angry) that President Zardari is not showing him enough respect.”

“I am the actual Pakistani ruler,” declares Gilani in the fictional story which was put out shortly after he sacked his National Security Adviser Mahmud Ali Durrani for telling the media that the lone surviving Mumbai attacker Ajmal Amir Kasab was a Pakistani national.

The story says Durrani was sacked for “not showing him (Gilani) respect by telling the truth and making Pakistan look bad”.

Writer Shea Lo shows Gilani hosting a late night comedy show ‘More Pakistani lies and political fumblings’ in which he blames the world for making a big deal about the Mumbai carnage when only a few people died.

In the show he claims he had ‘evidence’ that the surviving Mumbai terrorist was actually an ‘androgynous Japanese robot’ programmed to make Pakistan look bad.

Many scoops have been made out of Gilani’s fumbles during news conferences and interviews. During an interview last week with the Financial Times,Gilani said,”We are a responsible country,we are a nuclear power and the nuclear power should behave in a better power.”

When asked, whom he would like to thank for making him Prime Minister, the actor playing Gilani says,‘Aishwarya Rai’ who is his favourite actress. He watched all of Rai’s films when he was in jail some years ago.

Asked if he could change the fate of poor Pakistanis by saying special prayers, the actor portraying Gilani says he could not because he is not a practicing ‘Pir’.

In real life,Gilani hails from a family of Pirs.
