A Pakistani man slashed the nose and lips of his teenage wife,accusing her of being involved in an illicit marital relationship. 22-year-old Qadir Buksh,a resident of the tribal region in Dera Ghazi Khan,chopped off the nose and lips of 17-year-old Salma Bibi yesterday over alleged illicit relationship,the Nation newspaper reported. Buksh has fled his home in Darg. The woman has been shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan for treatment,the report said. Pakistan's human rights watchdogs have said that Pakistani women have been subjected to severe discrimination and widespread domestic violence,including so-called "honour" killings.
