Amid a political crisis in Nepal,Maoist Chief Prachanda on Friday left on his fourth visit China where he is expected to hold discussion with senior Chinese leaders. During his five-day visit,Prachanda will take part in the ongoing 2010 World Expo in Shanghai,followed by a visit to Chinese capital,Beijing. He,however,said his trip does not aim at bringing any big change in the country's politics,Himalayan Times reported. Hinting at the current political crisis in the country where Nepal's parliament has failed 12 times to elect a Prime Minister after Madhav Kumar Nepal quit the top post,Prachanda said the domestic problems should be solved internally. Saying all the parties are concerned about the political instability in the country,Prachanda expressed the hope that consensus would be formed among the parties soon. The former rebel leader who became the country's prime minister after the Constituent Assembly elections in 2008 is scheduled to meet the central leaders of Chinese Communist Party and participate in an international press conference. He would interact with the Nepali Diaspora in Shanghai. Dahal is accompanied by his party's foreign department chief Krishna Bahadur Mahara,politburo member Agni Sapkota and his personal secretary Sameer Dahal. Prachanda,who was in the race for the post of the prime minister,was forced to quit following his failure to get majority support in Parliament seven times in a row. The visit is seen as significant as it comes soon after a 'bribery' audio tape was leaked to the media. In the tape,UCPN-Maoist leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara was reportedly heard asking a Chinese official for Rs 50 crore,apparently for weaning away Madhesi lawmakers ahead of the seventh round prime ministerial run-off.
