The last time Gagan Narang took part in the Asian Air Gun Shooting Championships in Doha in 2007,he had picked up three bronze medals. Returning to Doha after a gap of two years,Narang on Friday won an individual gold while helping India bag the team gold as well.
It was after a long time that I was returning to Doha. The last time,I had to satisfy myself with bronze. But now I knew I had to win this championship, Narang told The Indian Express.
After a qualification score of 597,including a series of 99,99,100,100,100 and 99,Narang shot a final final score of 104 to total 701 and top the 24-shooter field. I had been struggling with my equipment and trying to adjust to my new body weight. That I did well means I am adjusting to my equipment pretty well, said Narang.
