Ireland striker Robbie Keane re-joined Tottenham Hotspur from Liverpool on Monday after seven disappointing months at the Anfield club. Keane,who cost Liverpool 19 million pounds last July,will link up again with former Spurs team mate Jermain Defoe,who has also returned to the struggling London club. Keane made 28 appearances for Liverpool,scoring seven goals,but struggled to hold down a regular place in Rafael Benitezs starting side. Meanwhile,Andrei Arshavins proposed move to Arsenal has fallen through,the players Russian club Zenit St Petersburg said on Monday. The 27-year-old Russia playmaker was in London on Monday hoping to sign a contract but the deal collapsed at the last moment when the clubs could not reach agreement before the 1700 GMT transfer window deadline. I can confirm that the deal is definitely off, said Zenit spokesman Alexei Petrov. In another move,Everton have agreed a loan deal until the end of the season with Manchester City forward Jo. The Brazil international joined City last year from Russian club CSKA Moscow for 18 million pounds but has struggled to make an impression at the club. Jo agreed personal terms with Everton today and arrived at Goodison Park earlier to complete the loan move ahead of the 5pm transfer deadline,Evertons website said.
