Indian swimmers continued to disappoint at the Asian Games with Rehan Poncha and Virdhawal Khade failing to qualify for the men's 100m butterfly event on Sunday. Poncha and Khade were drawn in the same heat and while the former finished sixth,the latter settled for the eighth spot in the standings. Poncha clocked 57.09,which four seconds more than the eventual winner of the heat. Khade set a timing of 58.21. There was more disappointment for India in the men's 200m Freestyle event where Havaldar Rohit Rajendra and Aaron Agnel Dsouza failed to make the finals. Rohit finished second in his heat but his timing 1:55.48,was a good 7.63 seconds behind the eventual top-finisher. Dsouza clocked 1:53.93 to finish third in his heat. The poor show continued in the men's 50m Breaststroke event with Sandeep Sejwal failing to qualify for the finals. Sejwal clocked 28.96 in the heats to finish fourth.
