Tiger Woods won the Australian Masters for his seventh victory of the year, closing with a four-under 68 for a victory that record crowds at Kingston Heath came to see. In his first trip Down Under in 11 years,Woods put on quite a show for his $3 million appearance fee.

He pulled away from a three-way tie for the lead with three birdies on his opening six holes on Sunday, then seized control with a tee shot that covered the flag and stopped six feet away for birdie on the 15th.

He won for the 82nd time worldwide in his career. Woods now has a trophy from every continent where golf is played. Australia is the 13th country where he has won an individual event.

“I’ve never won down here,so now I have won on every continent, except for Antartica,” Woods said. “I haven’t played the Antartica Four-Ball yet. But to have won on every playable continent,it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.”
