Broad backs India to break tour duck in ODI series

Broads comment comes after England claimed 6-wicket win in one-off T20 international at Manchester.

England fast bowler Stuart Broad expects India to provide a renewed threat when the five-match ODI series begins in Chester-le-Street on Saturday.

Broads comment comes after England claimed a six-wicket win in the one-off Twenty20 international at Old Trafford last night.

The close contest was a far cry from the Test series, which England won 4-0,to offer an injury-depleted India a much-needed boost ahead of the ODI series.

When asked if he expected India to break their tour duck in the series,Broad said: Well yeah,of course. We know how dangerous India are.

Theyve got some world-class talent in their team. They are the 50-over world champions so we know the danger they present. We are certainly not going to take any game lightly, he added.

He further warned England against complacency, and said that they must continue working hard.

We need to focus on what were doing, were playing good cricket at the moment with guys standing up and performing on the big stage, the Telegraph quoted Broad,as saying.
