Mumbai: He was not a part of the meeting that made the decision but that has not stopped Champions League governing council to quote under-fire chairman Lalit Modi while announcing on Sunday that the tournament would be held in South Africa this year. “The Champions League Twenty20 governing council has announced that this year’s tournament will be held in South Africa from September 10 to 26,” it said in a statement.

‘No more controversies’

Karachi: Pakistan cricket team has put behind all controversies related to the Australian tour and would look to defend their title in the West Indies during the World Twenty20,said team manager Yawar Saeed. “Whatever happened on the Australian tour is history and the players have definitely turned over a new leaf,” Yawar said. “Those who are in the team I think have learnt their lessons and there is no disharmony in the team,” he added.
