Manchester City players are third highest paid in the world of sports,raking in just over £86,000 per week or £4.5 million per year on an average,a latest survey has revealed. The survey published by website sportingintelligence.com reported that Barcelona and Real Madrid are the only clubs paying more than City to its players,with £101,160 and £90,859 respectively. The survey also showed an increment in Chelseas wage bill,placing them now just one place below City,The Sun reports. The Manchester United players are at 11th with each member earning £3.34 million per year,who were at 86th position when this report was first published in 2010 but jumped to 11th last year.
