B S Yeddyurappa son among 2 MPs suspended by BJP

BJP suspends two of its Parliament members for their links with the former Karnataka CM.

The BJP on Monday suspended two of its Parliament members B Y Raghavendra,the son of former Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa,and Shivakumar Udasi,son of former BJP minister C M Udasi for “anti-party activities’’ on account of their association with Yeddyurappa’s break away Karnataka Janata Party (KJP).

The suspension of the Lingayat duo who are at the helm of the KJP’s campaign strategies for the May 5 Assembly polls in Karnataka came amid reports that two MPs may be fielded by the KJP against senior BJP leaders in north Karnataka. Raghavendra,KJP sources said,may be fielded against family nemesis and former BJP state president K S Eshwarappa,an OBC Kuruba leader in Shimoga region.
