Australian vice-captain Michael Clarke has claimed that his team has England pace bowler Steven Finn’s number, and that the hosts have failed to hide him this summer.

The 22-year-old six feet eight inch fast bowler is the hottest quick on the scene with 19 wickets from his first four Tests and has drawn comparisons with the great Glenn McGrath, and has been rested for the current one-day series in a bid to make him a secret weapon during this winter”s Ashes battle.

Clarke, however, admits Australia have had their spies watching him in action.

He told SunSport: “England have tried to hide him from us,but it seems everywhere we go,he”s been bowling in the nets. Apart from facing him,we”ve probably seen more of him in action than Stuart Broad. He looks very good and has had a lot of success early in his career. He”s definitely talented.”

“England are looking after him now but we expect to face him this winter — and we will have a plan to combat him,” Clarke added.

“England are playing really well and have talent in all forms of the game — we know we will have to be at our best to beat them this winter,” he said.
