British police say they have arrested two men in connection with one of Britains biggest jewel heists.
Londons Metropolitan Police say the men were arrested Wednesday.
Police launched a massive search after two well-dressed men walked into a central London jewelry store Aug. 6 armed with handguns and stole dozens of rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches with a retail value of 40 million pounds,or $66 million.
As the robbers left the shop they fired at a security guard and later fired a second shot as members of the public attempted to intervene.
The police announced the arrest late Wednesday evening. They did not release any more details.
